Case 371 - Researchers notes.
I spent slightly longer than usual assessing the material before I dispatched them to you. I am sure you would like to try and solve the clue before you read my assessment of the material below.
This time I have just listed my findings as I discovered them.
The edge of the blocked out paper
There is a pattern around the edge of the paper. Each oblong contains dots or triangles. If I can discover the meaning of each one, I believe it may tell me something.
Poseidon paper dots
The oblong with the dots. Each dot contains a symbol that is also on the edge of the gold coin.
Line the coin up using the image of Poseidon and the A. You should now write down which letter each dot in the oblong represents. Be careful; some symbols look very alike, don't get them mixed up.

Roll medusa away from the wind
This message took me a while to work out.
First, gather all the documents that say 'Roll Medusa away from the wind', and the sheet with the wind gods.
Letters on and Constelations.
These are star constellations.
You need to work out which letter each constellation represents. This will then tell you what letter each triangle represents.
Direction and distance of the roll.
Look carefully at this diagram.
Place the coin on one of the constellations on the sheet with the letters and constellations.

In the example below, you would place the coin on the Gemini constellation.
The snake shows how far to roll. So you would roll the coin one and a half times.
Inside the snake is a storm cloud representing the south wind.
So you would roll the coin north (Away from the wind) one and a half rolls until you landed on the letter V.

Reading the pattern code
Remember to rotate the paper as you decipher the code, or you will be looking at it from the wrong angle.
The pattern you are reading should always be at the top of the page.
After cracking the outside of the code I know how to reveal the map
Look very carefully, you may have to repeat the instructions to get a better reveal.
I could see a faint code underneath and a map. Maybe the code will help with the pink letter?

I also found it strange the photograph of Mary had a similar pattern as the map. Maybe it also has a secret to reveal?
